Google provides an interesting service that shows the LONG-TERM TRENDS FOR THE LEVEL OF CONSTRUCTION-RELATED SEARCHES performed on its search engine. One can see that activity is clearly lower than it was back in 2004, but it seems to have leveled out over the past 3 years.
